Nursing Students’ Self-Motivation, Attitude Toward Communicative Language Teaching, and Learning Style Preferences Concerning Medical English Language Skills

The nursing profession requires medical English for communication in their working environment. Hence, this study intends to reveal self-motivation, attitude toward communicative language teaching (CLT), and learning style preferences concerning skills among Saudi students. This encompassed all students enrolled the first year of undergraduate program Abha (n=80) Muhayil female campuses King Khalid University (KKU), Arabia. A self-structured online questionnaire was distributed those data collection. overall Cronbach’s alpha score used 0.928. Concerning skills, 76.2% strongly desired improve skills. 82.5% liked develop through activities. More than 70% preferred terminologies using visual aids, mind maps, puzzles. 74.2% could easily remember by listening lectures. Around 75% learn texts terms group activities that information friends family. Nursing students’ self-motivation showed a moderate positive relationship with CLT preferences. KKU were highly motivated towards Those also visual, auditory, tactile styles Besides, students' is positively related schools should continue strategies enhance which academic clinical performance.
